West Cork Black Reserve is made by blending malted (36%) and un-malted grain whiskey, aged in Bourbon Casks, for 4-to-5 years before being finished in lightly toasted, heavily charred #4 first-fill bourbon casks for an additional six months. This process produces a slightly smoky, vanilla-rich sweet whiskey, the company says.
