Its roots trace all the way back to 1869, making it a testament to a time when every bottle was crafted with passion and patience. During the Prohibition days, the winds of change saw Schenley Distilling Corporation acquiring the Joseph S. Finch distillery and, with it, the prized Golden Wedding brand. This iconic brand found its home in two prestigious locations: Schenley's Pennsylvania distillery and the renowned George T. Stagg Distillery. But as the 1940s waned, Golden Wedding made its way north, becoming a signature Canadian whiskey under Schenley's care. Although its journey ended in the late 20th century, the essence of Golden Wedding remains an emblem of American whiskey history.

Distillery Information

In 1920, Lewis Rosenstiel purchased a distillery that contained barrels of Golden Wedding and sold it as medicinal whiskey. The brand walked away unscathed after Prohibition's Repeal and was moved in 1948 to Valleyfield, Quebec stamped as a Canadian Whisky.
