The domaine also has holdings in Grands-Echezeaux and in Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses. It is also a major producer of Givry wines, with sites across the basic, village-level, sites as well as several Premier Cus, including the Clos St-Pierre – a monopole of the producer. The Domaine was founded in the mid-19th Century, although the family reputedly had vineyard holdings dating back to the previous century. Until the earl 2000s, Baron Thénard had strong ties with the Burgundian négociant house, Remoissenet, which bottled much of its production.
