The village of Terlano is located halfway between the regions two main towns, Merano and Bolzano, in a wide section of the Adige river valley. Production is split 70-30 between white and red wine. The extensive portfolio includes wines from all of the major grape varieties grown in the region. The winery produces broadly four tiers of wines. The top cuvée is the Primo, or Terlaner I – a barrel-aged white wine made predominantly from Pinot Bianco, with Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc playing a supporting role.
