The winery, known as the \"Citadella del Vino\", is a recently built state-of-the-art facility taking in fruit from 1600 member growers from a variety of terroirs. Wines labeled under the Mezzacorona brand are closely associated with the region's mountainous terrain. The terroir ranges significantly across the vineyards, spanning warm valleys and alpine hillsides. Vineyards are therefor planted to a wide range of grape varieties, from local favorites like Pinot Grigio, Terroldego and Lagrein, to international varieties like Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Many of the vineyards employ the traditional Trentina pergola trellising system. Mezzacorona is most closely associated with a range of varietal wines from Trentino, made under a range of regional appellations, including the Trentino DOC and the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT classification.
