It makes red and white wines under the Assissi DOC and Umbria IGT appellations. The Sportoletti family have farmed the hills between Assisi and Spello for generations, with brothers Ernesto and Remo devoting themselves to wine production in the 1970s. The first wines were released under their own label in 1979. Today, the estate consists of around 25 hectares (62 acres) of vineyards on the hillsides of Spello and Assisi, all within the Assisi DOC zone. They are planted to Italian and international varieties; clones are carefully selected to ensure quality rather than high yields.
