Hudelot married Odile Noëllat in the 1970s, which increased the domaine's holdings – the Noëllat family has its own significant history in Burgundy. In 2008, Alain retired and his grandson, Charles van Canneyt, took over running the estate alongside cellarmaster Vincent Munier. The domaine has roughly 10 hectares (24 acres) of vineyards with plots in four villages (Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges) and in 15 different designated sites.
