The family-owned business produces a portfolio of varietal wines sourced from various notable vineyards throughout the valley. Amici Cellars was founded by Jeff Hansen in 1991 after producing a successful wine from a few tons of grapes with a small group of friends. Amici means \"friends\" in Italian and upon inception the slogan \"created by friends for friends\" was coined in commemoration. The company has since had several owners and today, Bob Shepard and John Harris are proprietors.
