He graduated in Agriculture to be able to follow the estate's vineyards and then went to France to perfect his craft, because no one like the French then and still today knows how to make pinot noir , the grape variety with which he had decided to compete. He has an experience in Burgundy and then in Champagne, learns, comes back with new ideas, focuses on quality. The wines are sold by the bottle, which was not at all usual at the time. Hitchcock drinks them at Villa d'Este, he is kind enough to let Giorgio know how much he appreciates them.
