It is fermented for 20 days and left on the skins for a further month, before five years of maturation in large oak vats and a further two years in bottle. The estate comprises 53 hectares (131 acres) of vineyards, including plots in four of the Barolo Cru vineyards which make four single-vineyard wines: Cannubi, Brunate, Cerequio and Liste. In addition, Damilano produces Lecinquevigne, a Barolo from vineyards in five different towns around the region.
