It was founded in 2013 by a team that collaborated to create a vision for a company that compounded their love for wine with their experiences growing up in France. The gathering of friends and family for sharing drinks (aperitifs) and meals was ingrained in them and they wanted to help share this culture outside of France. Of course, wine was an integral part of this and so they began by creating wines that they loved from their home country. One of the first goals for the team was to produce a line of quality rosés from Provençe and introduce them to the USA and other parts of the world. Their first line of wines is named Cœur de Rosé® which translates as “Heart of Rosé” and is produced near Saint Tropez. It is available as both a “Prestige” and “Réserve”. Following the success of Coeur de Rosé®, Maison CR introduced another rosé called Côte d’Azur Sélection which won “Best of Show” at the International Rosé Wine Competition (in a blind taste test with over 120 rosés from around the world). In 2018, Maison CR started partnering with vineyards in regions outside of Provence. They have added appellations from Burgundy, Beaujolais and Côtes du Rhône to their offering as well as some great sparkling wines from France. In order to be more efficient in getting their wines to customers in the United States they also started an import business stateside named Maison CR Imports.
