A 2011 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Tamnavulin Distillery. It was aged for over 12 years in a single bourbon cask (#CM308) before it was bottled in July 2023 by the House of Macduff for the Golden Cask series.

Nose: Poached pear, brown sugar, chewy malt, coconut, and vanilla.

Palate: Oak and baking spices prickle through apricots, buttery pastries, toffee, and orange peel.

Finish: Dried fruit and cinnamon.

Distillery Information

Tamnavulin whisky distillery is found on the banks of the River Livet. Nearby there sits an ancient three-storey wool carding mill. Built of rubble, the mill dates back to 1560 and accordingly the village Tomnavoulin - note the differing spelling - takes its name from the Gaelic for ‘Mill on the hill’.
