Aberfeldy 25 Year Old is matured for over two decades in a combination of re-fill hogsheads and re-fill butts, the whisky is then finished for over a year in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks. Oloroso casks augment Aberfeldy's rich and fruity character, and bestow a delightful spiced note.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: Notes of Highland honey, wild strawberries and ripe peaches warmed by the sun, the aroma builds with cocoa powder, creamy caramel and warming cinnamon.

Finish: Long satisfying finish.

Distillery Information

First planned in 1896 by the sons of John Dewar, Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery is the only Scotch whisky distillery built by the Dewar family. Dewar's was already a highly successful brand of blended whisky, renowned for its quality, and the company needed more single malt whisky to use in its blend.
