Yummy single malt from Caol Ila, independently bottled by Glasgow's North Star Spirits. This one was matured in a refill hogshead for 12 years, before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of only 276 bottles.

North Star Spirits Coal Ila 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Sawdust, fennel seed, biscuit dough and lemon drizzle cake.

Palate: Charcoal, continued citrus sweetness and a dusting of nutmeg.

Finish: Peppery barley and coastal air.
