Kavalan 8 Years Old Port Single Cask European Exclusive 2014 is a limited-edition single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan, bottled exclusively for the European market. The single malt was distilled on 5 March 2014 and matured for 8 years in a single port cask.

Nose: Cherry candy and jam.

Palate: Vegetal and woody with some spicy notes.

Finish: Ginger lingers on the finish.

Distillery Information

In 1995 King Car tried to enter the alcohol market for the first time but their plans were rejected by the government which at the time held a monopoly on alcohol production. Following the de-monopolization of the alcohol market in 2002 King Car began work on its first distillery, Kavalan, which opened in 2005.
