Pittyvaich 1992 Prima and Ultima Fourth Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Hint of ripe banana, although the overall effect is not sweet.
Palate: A soft, creamy-smooth texture introduces a lightly sweet taste with a sherried fruitiness then a pinch of salt in mid-palate, which soon becomes tannic and dry, while spicily warming.
Finish: Medium length and fruity, with a dry, slightly peppery spicy kick and aftertaste. Similar with water.
Distillery Information
The Pittyvaich distillery, built in 1974 by Arthur Bell & Sons, was among the youngest Scottish distilleries while it was operating. It stood near the Dufftown Distillery in Dufftown. Originally built to provide malt whisky for blends, Pittyvaich eventually did release an official bottling in 1991.
