Driftless Glen Navy Strength is the Wisconsin take on the English/Danish classic, juniper-driven gin but here bottled at 114 proof: the notorious proof at which it is said gunpowder will still ignite even if it is spilled on by gin. Driftless Glen uses botanicals of locally grown ginger and ginseng, which to us implies an unusual spiciness to the spirit.

Nose: Citrus peel and pith with juniper, coriander, and angelica.

Palate: The taste is dangerously drinkable. Big fat round citrus notes with juniper, spice, and herbs. On the sweeter citrus side of things.

Finish: The finish is pleasant with sweet citrus sugars lingering with juniper.
