The bourbon is aged for two decades in Kentucky before receiving a finishing period in French Bordeaux wine casks, adding layers of dark fruit and richness to its mature oak character.

Nose: Caramel, toffee, leather, barrel spice, black cherry, and ripe stone fruit.

Palate: Toffee, cherry, cinnamon, clove, mature oak, vanilla, and subtle smoke.

Finish: Long and sweet, with dark fruit, crème brûlée, leather, seasoned oak, and lingering richness.

Jefferson’s Bourbon was founded by Trey Zoeller and his father, Chet, and has built its identity around experimentation, blending, and unconventional maturation techniques. The brand takes its name from Thomas Jefferson and draws inspiration from his curiosity and interest in exploration, wine, and agriculture. Founder’s Reserve continues that philosophy by combining long-aged Kentucky bourbon with French Bordeaux cask finishing, creating a commemorative release that connects Kentucky bourbon traditions with Old World wine influence.
