The Dalmore Constellation Collection brings together the complete spectrum of vintages from the years 1964-1992 for the very first time. Created by Master Distiller Richard Paterson, this collection of single casks is highly sought after by collectors around the globe. This 40 year old single cask was distilled in 1971 and matured for its full four decades in oak from the Ozark mountains of Missouri.
Dalmore Constellation 1971 40 Year Old Cask 2 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Blood oranges, cinnamon spice and cider apples accentuated by tangy lime marmalade, buttermilk pancakes and honey with whispers of Turkish delight and lemongrass.
Palate: Toffee apple, chocolate fudge and pear with a dusting of cocoa, nutmeg and ripe bananas.
Finish: Lingering.
Distillery Information
"The Dalmore" Distillery is located in Alness, which is 20 miles North of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the "big meadowland", from which it takes its name.
