Located in the Reguengos sub-region of Alentejo, Esporão produced its first vintage in 1985 from the estate which has a rich viticultural history. The geographical boundaries have remained unchanged since its formation in 1267. Today, the company consists of two estates the Herdade de Esporão and the Quinta dos Murças. The extensive portfolio is arranged in several tiers, including the Monte Velho range and a collection of varietal wines from Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonês, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Verdelho, which are all regarded as leading examples of their type.
