Douglas Laing is being coy once again with this mysterious single malt, distilled in 2008 on Orkney at Probably Orkney's Finest Distillery. It's up to you to figure the rest out. We do know that it rested for 12 years in a single refill hogshead, before it was bottled at 48.4% ABV with an outturn of 430 bottles for the Old Particular series. Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.

Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.

Finish: Lingering gentle smoke, touches of oak char and apple blossom.
