"The Glenrothes distillery, founded in Speyside in 1878/79, has a story of resilience, overcoming early fires, explosions, and the famous Tay Bridge disaster on its first day of production to become a respected single malt, known for its rich, fruity spirit primarily matured in sherry casks and its unique shift from vintage-only releases to age-statement expressions. Its legacy blends traditional methods, like slow distillation and an on-site cooperage, with modern innovation, creating a distinguished whisky with notes of dried fruit, spice, and citrus."
