Another exciting single cask release from BenRiach, this time we have a 29 year old peated single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1986 and finished in Oloroso sherry butt #7569. Released as part of Batch 13 and one of only 568 bottles filled at cask strength, 51%.

Nose: Sumptuous ripe plums and dried figs surrounded by a sweet barbecue smoke character.
Palate: Rich sticky dates and dark orange marmalade combine with sweet peat notes and lingering cigar box characters, all infused with fresh coffee grounds and cocoa beans.
Finish: The finish is long and elegant.

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
