Tequila: Tres Agaves Anejo

Tres Agaves Tequila Anejo is aged in fine oak barrels for eighteen months. The oak imparts deep natural color and robust, full flavor. The key to our Anejo is that it retains its essential agave flavors while embracing the oak influences.

Size: 750mL

Proof: 80 (40% ABV)

Origin: Mexico

Distiller: El Llano Distillery

Detailed Description

Matured in ex-bourbon barrels for 18 months, this añejo has a soft gold hue and fruity aroma that suggests apples and pears, plus vanilla and a faint white flower note. On the palate, vanilla and fruit sweetness lead, but that's promptly overpowered by a sting of alcohol, fading to cinnamon and clove sizzle on the finish.

Tres Agaves Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes

Distillery Information

This tequila is distilled in lowlands of the state of Jalisco. The master distiller is the third generation descendant of the original owner. Distillery was founded in 1873. This distillery uses a number of techniques that are different than the more traditional ones. First they pulverize the pinãs before they cook them then they use huge steel ovens that look more like lumber drying kilns and they use closed (or at least covered) steel tanks to ferment the mosto to quickly mass produce their tequila.
