The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #5 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Due to the success of The Balvenie's Tun 1401 series, a bigger vat was needed. Tun 1509 is four times the size and the first release is a combination of 35 American oak barrels and seven European oak sherry butts, left to marry for a few months.

The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #5 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Floral honey, apple drops, fresh vanilla and a little bit of thick treacle.

Palate: Superb mouthfeel, it's effortlessly mouth-coating with candied orange peels, crumbly shortbread, cinnamon and oak notes.

Finish: Raisins, citrus and cracked black pepper.
