Inchgower Old Malt Cask 20 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Distilled at Inchgower in October 1998, this single cask expression has been matured in a refill butt for 20 years before bottling at a preferred strength of 50% abv as part of the Old Malt Cask range from independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. Only 348 bottles have been produced of this delightful Speyside single malt.

Nose: Mellow with red berries and butterscotch.

Palate: Rhubarb and Scottish tablet with some liquorice sweets.

Finish: Long and gentle with a touch of spice.

Distillery Information

Inchgower distillery is a whisky distillery producing a single malt of the same name located on the outskirts of Buckie, Moray, Scotland. The distillery was built in 1871 to replace Tochineal Distillery but liquidated in 1903. Buckie Council purchased the concern in 1936 and ownership was transferred to Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd in 1938 and indeed to this very day the Bell's logo is used in the advertising of Inchgower. The current operator of Inchgower is Diageo. As of 1966 Inchgower has operated four stills.
