Nose: Chocolate, marzipan, and soft fruits.
Palate: Salted caramel, tart apples, and berries.
Finish: Long, with lingering heat.
Distillery Information
Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson. The location at the southern end of Pitlochry in the Highlands was chosen because of its proximity to the Allt-Dour burn. As a result, the original name of the distillery was Aldour.
