A 12 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Invergordon, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor for The Octave series. This one was distilled in 2009, and given a finishing period in an octave cask. After five months in that little cask, it was bottled at 55.8% ABV, with only 86 bottles produced.

Nose: Waxy peels and dry oak heat, with a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Palate: Brown sugar and filo pastry, almonds, a little hint of fresh linen.
Finish: A soft spiciness of white pepper lingers.
