Caffo Solara Orange Liqueur Tasting Notes
Nose: Waves of whole oranges and a touch of nutmeg greet the nose.
Palate: The palate brings an explosion of orange oil and candied orange peel along with underlying notes of vanilla and brûléed banana.
Finish: Impressive length on the finish, very unique and complex.
Distillery Information
The history of the Caffo's family business dates back to the end of the nineteenth century, when Giuseppe Caffo began distilling pomace on the side of volcanic Mount Etna. After years of experience managing distilleries, he bought an old distillery in Santa Venerina, Sicily, in 1915.
