It was distilled in 1993 and initially aged in a bourbon hogshead, before being transferred over to a first-fill Koval Bourbon cask then bottled in 2017 with an outturn of just 165 bottles.

Nose: Grilled pineapple, floral malt, and a hint of sea air. A slight hint of maple syrup on waffles, too...
Palate: Smokier than the nose suggests (think smoked meats rather than burnt wood), though fruity sweetness remains at its core.
Finish: Salted chocolate brownie, crunchy brown sugar, peppercorn and toasted cinnamon.

The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, which also owns the Glengyle distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels
