Aged Montebello rums are born in the extreme heat and humidity of recycled boat containers where all the barrels of the distillery are stored. This atypical aging method gives old Montebello rums a unique delicacy.

Nose: A smell of caramelized apple pie dominates the nose.

Palate: Notes of calvados mingle with acacia honey.

Finish: Elegant long lasting aftertaste.

Distillery Information

This name was given by Madame Veuve Thevenin Jean-Marie. When she bought “a piece of land detached from the Habitation Bell” in April 1859, a few days before the second victory of Napoleonic troops at Montebello della Battaglia, a district south of Milan, Italy.
