"The Old Overholt distillery story begins in West Overton, PA, in 1810 with Abraham Overholt, a farmer who started distilling rye whiskey, making it one of America's oldest brands. The business grew, later acquired by his grandson, Gilded Age tycoon Henry Clay Frick, and then partnered with Andrew Mellon, surviving Prohibition via medicinal licenses and evolving into a nationally recognized "workhorse" rye."
