What was originally the first age statement release from Hellyers Road in Tasmania, this is the 12 Year Old Original single malt. Aged in American white oak bourbon casks, the classic notes of citrus that we know and love from the distillery are bolstered by vanilla sweetness.
Hellyers Road 12 Year Old Original | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Lemon curd, toffee, and vanilla pod.
Palate: Floral honey, sweet orange, and pear tart.
Finish: Cooked apple and cinnamon sugar.
Distillery Information
Hellyers Road began in Burnie, Tasmania. Above the town is a road that, back in the 1800s used to be bush. In 1827, Henry Hellyer carved out the bush to create a trail with nothing but the most basic tools. Fast forward to 1999, and a group of dairy farmers in Burnie were so inspired by Henry Hellyer that they created a whisky distillery in his honour.
