This Limited Release is Thirteenth Colony's flagship Southern Bourbon Whiskey at cask strength, uncut for maximum flavor. With defined tasting notes, it has a nose that’s hazelnut, sweet Georgia corn, cherry syrup, smoked oak, sweet leather, and fresh-cut herbs.

Nose: Rich and delicate nose.

Palate: A rich, complex, and smooth taste.

Finish: Medium finish that changes from buttery maple to craft root beer and candy shop licorice ropes.

Distillery Information

Thirteenth Colony Distilleries was founded by four friends deep in the south of Georgia. Today, they still pride themselves is "southern style" and handmade spirits "by friends, for friends." The name celebrates the state of Georgia, the "thirteenth colony" of the original 13 that founded America.We're told by their distiller Graham Arthur that they try to source their grain locally wherever possible and make a point of returning the mash to ranchers for feed. Their yeast is their own strain they reuse from batch to batch, which would qualify their spirits as "sour mash." In response to an interview with the Whiskey Apostle, they both "produce and source" their whiskey but do not disclose all of their sources other than mentioning "friends out west."
