Distilled a few years before the start of prohibition, and bottled in bond as a 17 year-old whiskey in 1934. This embossed pint bottle was distilled by H.S. Barton in Kentucky, and Bottled in Missouri at a government bonded warehouse in Saint Louis. This bottle was found in the safe of a retired pharmacist, as this whiskey was sold for medicinal purposes at the time. Based on years stored in a dark safe, the labels, government tax strip, and original cardboard box are vibrant, and in immaculate shape considering their age.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is a distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, that is owned by the Sazerac Company. It has historically been known by several names, including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Old Fire Copper Distillery.
