Detailed Description

Hardy Le Printemps Cognac is the spring edition in a series of four crystal decanters all produced in collaboration with Lalique Crystal, who are also responsible for the exquisite design. The silhouette is most feminine and the spectacularly sculpted, almond green-tinted stopper is evocative of the creations of René Lalique back in the early 20th century: the design imagined by Lalique for Hardy has all the beauty of the finest perfume bottles. The Printemps carafe is placed in the middle of a precious round case of white and pastel-hued leather with an ingenious front-opening system. Here too, sophistication and originality are the order of the day.

Hardy Le Printemps Lalique Cognac Grande Champagne Tasting Notes

Nose: White flowers and violet, a typical trait from Grande Champagne. Musk and leather, blond tobacco, coffee and chocolate are the main perceptible fragrances in a second phase.

Palate: Smoothness and great blend with notes of underwood and fine touches of coffee and chocolate.

Finish: Lingering.

Distillery Information

Maison Hardy owes its name to an authentic English gentleman, Anthony Hardy. Like any conscientious wine and spirit merchant, Hardy liked to get out of London as often as he could and head down to Charente to check on the progress of the finest Cognac crus. He finally succumbed to the region’s charms in 1863, relocating permanently and founding Maison Hardy. As a mark of his great affection for France and the French, he went so far as to adopt the Gallic form of his Christian name, henceforth being known as Antoine Hardy. He also adopted the iconic French cockerel as the emblem of his new company.
