Distilled and bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky, this is "the wise man's bourbon." Kentucky Owl is a recent re-addition to the world of American whisky, as the original Dedman family distillery was left high and dry by prohibition in the 1920's and its stock infamously looted by none other than Al Capone himself. Revived by great grandson Dixon Dedman, the Kentucky owl is back and flying higher than ever. This is from batch no. 8. This is the biggest, boldest, most robust release of Kentucky Owl to date. The Kentucky Owl Batch #8 release totals 9,051 bottles produced from 4 different distillates, aged 14 years, 11 years, 8 years, and almost 5 years.

Kentucky Owl Batch #8 Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose has apple, cinnamon, warm cobbler crust, nutmeg, caramel, vanilla pudding pop, red pepper, spiced apple cider and cinnamon.

Palate: Palate is a constant battle between sweet, rich, creamy & spice. The mouthfeel is strong, rich, syrupy and the finish stays with you, working its way from the spice on the back towards the front of the palate after each sip.

Finish: Spicy finish.

Willett Distillery, also known as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, Ltd., is a private family-owned and -operated company that produces various brands of bourbon and rye whiskey. Over the years the company has bottled Bourbon and Rye Whiskeys that range from 2 years of aging maturity all the way up to 28 years.
