Distillery Information
"Tomintoul Distillery, founded in 1965 during a Scotch boom by whisky brokers Hay & MacLeod and W. & S. Strong, was built to supply blends but grew into a respected single malt brand, known for its smooth, honeyed, and floral character. After several ownership changes, including stints under Scottish & Universal, Whyte & Mackay, and American Brands, it was acquired by Angus Dundee Distillers in 2000, who established its standalone single malt presence with releases like the 10 and 16-year-olds."
