A 12 year old whisky from the Clynelish distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Distilled in 1989, this was bottled by Adelphi in 2001 from single cask number 3280.

Nose: Leather, wet leaves, fudge, apple, blackberry and honey.

Palate: Fudge, cocoa, hazelnut, peanut, peach and honey.

Finish: Caramel, mocha, musty chestnut and peanut.

Distillery Information

The original Clynelish distillery was built in 1819, adjacent to the present Clynelish distillery, which was built in 1967. When Clynelish first started distilling, in the years 1820-1822, they were producing around 12,000 gallons (around 54,000 litres) per year.
