Chichibu 8 Year Old Single Virgin Oak Cask is a limited-edition, age-statement single malt whisky produced at the Chichibu Distillery in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Bottled for the 2022 Tokyo Whisky Festival, this collectible bottle of Chichibu`s much sought-after single malt whisky was distilled in 2013 and matured in a single virgin oak cask for eight years.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Finish is very smooth and long.

Distillery Information

Chichibu is a small whisky distillery in Japan. It was the first to be built in the country since the 1970s. Founder Ichiro Akuto came from a long family line of sake brewers dating back to the 17th century. His grandfather established Hanyu distillery in 1945.
