Crown Royal whisky started in 1939. It celebrated the royal tour of Canada by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Seagram's distillery made it to honour the visit. It was a blend of excellence and prestige. Both royals and the public loved it, and its legacy began. Blending whisky is an art and a science. The blenders are like modern alchemists. They start with carefully chosen grains. Each grain adds its own taste. The grains are distilled and aged separately. They are blended only when fully mature.
