This is a 21 year old bottling of Haitian rum, aged in ex-cognac casks. It was distilled in 1999 and bottled for the 20th anniversary of Berling in March 2020.

Nose: Very elegant and precise aromas.

Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.

Finish: Impressive length on the finish, very unique and complex.

Velier has been founded by Casimiro Chaix in Italy in 1947 and is perhaps the world's most well-known independent rum bottler, even if they understand themselves basically as co-bottlers. It is definitely one of the most prominent.
