The wine is produced from extremely ripe grapes and is bold in character with a deep color and dark fruit aromas. It is produced in Modesto, California, by E.\u0026amp; J. Gallo. Grapes are machine harvested, then cold-soaked prior to alcoholic fermentation to extract tannin and color. Fermentation lasts four to six days and the wine is aged on oak before being blended with a small amount of Petite Sirah, boosting the color and structure of the final wine.
