Jagermeister Scharf Hot Ginger German Herbal Liqueur

Building on the tried and tested flavors of their original expression, the Jagermeister Scharf Hot Ginger German Herbal Liqueur serves as one of the brand’s most recent offerings developed for drinkers who prefer a little bit more spice with their drinks and cocktails. Each batch of this liqueur starts its life with the same recipe of 56 herbs, fruits, roots, and spices as the original which is then further intensified with the addition of ginger. These botanicals are ground before being macerated in water and a neutral spirit before filtered and then rested for a year in oak barrels. After this brief beauty rest, the resulting liqueur is then filtered again before being brought to proof and then finally packaged in their signature green-tinted bottles.

Nose: Each sip of this liqueur greets you with a powerful and invigorating aroma of citrus, herbs, and toasty ginger.

Palate: Well into the palate where they are joined by notes of ripe fruits, candied orange peels, nutmeg, and pepper.

Finish: A persistent finish of more fruits, herbs, and spice.

Distillery Information

Mast-Jägermeister SE is a German liquor company owned by the Findel-Mast family. The corporate offices are located in Wolfenbüttel. Jägermeister is the primary product of Mast-Jägermeister SE. They also produce the lesser known SchlehenFeuer, a brand of sloe gin. In the past, they manufactured a multitude of liquors and liqueurs.
