Another edition of Longrow Red single malt Scotch whisky from the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown! This time, the heavily peated whisky was firstly matured in bourbon casks before being moved over to Pinot Noir barriques from New Zealand for a three year finishing period. The balance of peat and wine sweetness is always a highlight for these bottlings.

Nose: Red apples and rhubarb crumble with liquorice whips and maraschino cherries.

Palate: Soft and smooth with red berries, raspberry jam, cranberry sauce and burnt embers with tobacco leaf and hints of smoke.

Finish: Creamy, smoky and nutty with sultana notes.

The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
