The 1964 Rivesaltes is slightly deeper in hue, indicating that it contains a bit more Grenache Noir. The aromatics are wonderfully lively and focused with superbly delineated marmalade, quince and a very slight rancio quality. The palate is well balanced with a touch of liquorice on the entry, marmalade, stewed apricot, hints of yellow plum and orange rind.
