Glenmorangie 1993 10 Year Old Mount Everest Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

This whisky was filled into cask on the 17th May 1993 for Rebecca Stephens, the first British woman to conquer Mount Everest. 10 years later, it was bottled to celebrate both the 10th anniversary of this achievement and the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of Everest.

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.

Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.

Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.

Distillery Information

The Glenmorangie distillery was established in 1843, on the Dornoch Firth by brothers William and John Matheson. The site originally held a farm distillery under the name Morangie. There is evidence that distillation was carried out at this site during the early 18th century. Production began in November of 1849. During the latter part of the 19th century Glenmorangie began overseas exportation and destinations included Europe and the United States.
