This Authors’ Series is a range of exclusive single malt whiskies, created by the prestigious blenders and bottlers, Hunter Laing & Co. This is a limited edition expression, inspired by the life and work of Benjamin Disraeli.This particular expression was distilled in October 1996 at Springbank distillery in Campbeltown, before maturing for 20 years in a sherry hogshead. Bottled in November 2016 at a strength of 57.5% abv, only 67 have been produced.Each bottle is presented in a brown leather box, embossed with gold metallic text, and are individually wax sealed.

Part of the second series of single cask releases from independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. celebrating great authors.Distilled in October 1996 at Springbank distillery in Campbeltown and matured for 20 years in a single sherry hogshead before bottling in November 2016 at a strength of 57.5% abv, only 67 have been produced.Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881) was a British politician and author who served twice as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during the Victorian era. Remembered for his influential voice in world affairs, Disraeli played a central role in the creation of the modern Conservative Party. Author of more than a dozen novels, Disraeli's popular political novels reflect an interest in social reform and include Conigsby, Sybil and Tancred.
Distillery Information
The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
