      Detailed Description

Full-bodied, soft and buttery wine of great elegance, vinified and aged in white oak barrels. It has aromas of flowers, vanilla and exotic fruit and an intense and enveloping.

      Producer Information

Bellavista is a wine producer located in the heart of the Franciacorta wine region, where it produces a range of well-received vintage and non-vintage sparkling wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The company was founded by Vittorio Moretti in the early 1970s. The estate spans 190 hectares (470 acres) of vineyard land spread across 10 communes in the Franciacorta DOCG zone. Varieties planted include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Bianco, with vines averaging more than 20 years old. Bellavista's vineyards have a wide range of different soil types and are divided into 147 small parcels based on geographical differences and grape variety. These plots remain separate throughout the harvest and vinification process – the subsequent base wines are blended to achieve Bellavista's house style. Bellavista produces all of its sparkling wines by the traditional method (Franciacorta is often favorably compared to Champagne). To produce its non-vintage cuvées, the estate blends current vintage wines with a selection from at least 20 different reserve wines. One of the estate's top cuvées, Alma Gran Cuvée, is blended from at least 75 variations of current vintage and reserve wines. Around 35 percent of the wine is fermented and aged in old white oak barrels. The total production process lasts at least 40 months (three and a half years). Although sparkling wine production makes up the majority of the portfolio, Bellavista also produces a number of still wines including Zuanne (made from 100 percent Merlot under the Sebino IGT denomination), Alma Terra (a dry white Chardonnay made under the Curtefranca denomination), and Bellavista Arzente, a Brandy
