Cade winery was founded in 2007 by American composer Gordon Getty and the now Governor of California, Gavin Newsom. It sits at 1800ft above the Napa Valley floor on Howell Mountain, where 54 acres (22 ha) of vineyards are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Environmentally friendly, they were the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certified estate winery in Napa Valley. Their wine portfolio consists of varietal Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. The Cade Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is their flagship wine, sourced from the estate property.
